THE DESTINATION
THE DESTINATION & where to find it
BHH occupies a low-rise compound on the outskirts of Costa Calma, a quiet resort village on Fuerteventura’s southern coast. Low boundary walls open the property to the surrounding landscape, giving it an airy, unenclosed feel that larger resorts rarely achieve.
The layout is compact and deliberate. Four apartments and two ecopods are arranged around a central sun terrace and solar-heated pool. There is no reception desk, no lobby, no buffet queue. The scale is the point: six units, one pool, and enough space to find your own rhythm without ever feeling crowded.
Fuerteventura’s best nude beaches are within walking distance. Playa Esmeralda, with its turquoise water and sheltered coves, is roughly thirty minutes on foot. The vast sweep of Playa de Sotavento is a little further along the coast.
THE EXPERIENCE
THE EXPERIENCE & what to expect
The atmosphere at BHH leans toward quiet and unhurried. Mornings tend to settle around the pool, where solar heating keeps the water comfortable year-round. Sunbeds and bean bags are spread across the terrace, and shaded corners offer relief from the Canary Islands’ sun. The social dynamic is informal. Guests gravitate toward shared spaces at their own pace, and conversations start easily without any organised icebreakers.
Owner Karie sets the tone. Reviews and visitor accounts consistently mention a personal welcome that makes newcomers feel at ease, which is part of why BHH positions itself as a good option for travelling without clothes for the first time. There is no pressure and no formality.
Accommodation splits into two types. The four apartments (Au Naturel, Naturist, Buff, and Bare) range are one-bedroom units sleeping up to four guests. All come with full kitchens, satellite TV, safes, and bathrobes. The two ecopods, named Hooters and Peckers, are smaller but come with their own hot tubs, making them popular with couples after something more private.
This is a self-catering setup. There is no restaurant on site. Costa Calma’s restaurants and shops are a fifteen-minute walk away, and most guests hire a car to explore the wider island. Evenings are quiet. The resort winds down early, and the star visibility on clear Fuerteventura nights is worth stepping outside for.

FAQ
most asked questions
Is BHH Naturist Resort suitable for first-time naturists?
BHH is well suited to first-timers. The resort is small, the atmosphere is relaxed, and owner Karie is known for making newcomers feel welcome. With only six units, there is none of the exposure anxiety that can come with arriving at a large resort for the first time.
Is BHH family-friendly?
No. BHH is an adults-only property with a minimum age of 18. The only exception is when a group books the entire resort exclusively and the group includes children.
What is the best time of year to visit BHH?
BHH operates year-round. The most popular months are November to April, with temperatures between 20 and 26 degrees and very little rain. Summer is hotter but still a good time to visit.
Do I need a car at BHH?
A car is not essential for daily life. Costa Calma's shops and restaurants are a ten-minute walk away, and the nearest nude beach is also walkable. However, a car is strongly recommended for reaching the island's other nude beaches and wider attractions.
What accommodation types are available at BHH?
BHH has four independent apartments (sleeping two to six guests) and two ecopods with private hot tubs. All units are self-catering with full kitchens, bed linen, towels, and bathroom amenities.
Are there other nude beaches near BHH?
Fuerteventura has several naturist beaches within driving distance. Playa Esmeralda is the closest, a 30-minute walk from the resort. Further along the coast, Playa de Sotavento, Mal Nombre, Esquinzo, and Butihondo are all accessible by car.
