THE DESTINATION
THE DESTINATION & where to find it
Hidden Beach sits halfway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum and the property occupies a compact beachfront plot. The grounds are noticeably green. Dense tropical planting separates this resort from the wide, manicured lawns common along this stretch of coast.
The central area centres on a large main pool with a swim-up bar, where guests gather through the day. Volleyball matches run several times daily. A second pool sits behind the main one. The beach extends to the Caribbean Sea, with loungers spread across.
The clothes-free policy applies throughout the property: pool, beach, all dining areas, and bars. The only exception is the 24/7 fitness centre, which requires clothing. With 43 suites, the resort is small enough that most guests get to know each other over the course of a stay.
THE EXPERIENCE
THE EXPERIENCE & what to expect
The pool is the social heart of the resort. It rarely feels crowded. Guests settle in around the swim-up bar, order drinks, and stay for hours. Volleyball games draw a crowd several times a day. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy: conversations start without effort, and the same faces reappear at breakfast, by the water, and at dinner.
The beach offers a different pace. Caribbean water, loungers on the sand, and no particular pressure to go anywhere. Beachside massage services are available throughout the day.
Meals are part of the all-inclusive package. Breakfast is buffet-style, lunch is available at the main restaurant or the seaside bar. In the evenings, the restaurant alternates between buffet and a la carte formats. The bar stock is broad, and all drinks are included.
The More Inclusive formula extends access to seven other Karisma resorts in the Riviera Maya. For meals out, special events, or local festivals like Dia de Muertos, this adds real range to what a stay can include. Included activities cover a catamaran tour with snorkelling, a jet ski session, a day at Maroma Beach, cenote access, and entry to a Nickelodeon water park.
Accommodation runs to four suite types. The Oceanfront Dome Suites sit on the upper level and offer clear views of the sea and the resort. Each has a private hot tub, an en-suite bathroom, and a stocked minibar. The Swim-Up Hot Tub Junior Suites are on the ground floor, with private terraces and direct pool access: a good option for those who want the water within easy reach. Standard Hot Tub Junior Suites offer a quieter position away from the main pool activity. The Presidential Beachfront Villa is the property’s single largest room, with its own pool access and a hot tub facing the sea. All rooms are air-conditioned and include the minibar at no additional charge.
